Starting over

Here it finally is. My new blog. I was over at Snips and Snails, but I decided to change it up a bit. Now, I'm writing about my adventures as a mother to five boys, wife to a military man, and everything in between.

Where should I even start? C- our oldest is going into 3rd grade this year. 3rd grade!? I feel like I was just picking him up from preschool! He's growing up so fast and I don't know how to make it stop!

A- our second son, is starting 1st and will be in full time school. It will be interesting to see how his days go because he was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD-NOS), Sensory Integration, and Auditory Processing. During kindergarten, he did just fine holding himself together. However, when he got home, the tantrums and meltdowns started. He's been attending OT since we moved here in 2010, and we are moving to every other week. It's amazing how something like that can change a child's life.

C- our third son. What can I say about this little fiery spirit? He's the middle child and is in a constant state of motion. He refuses to potty train at 4 1/2 years old (we've mastered peeing, just not #2), and he loves to get his brothers going. If someone is screaming in the house, it's usually him. I plan on homeschooling him for preschool this year, so any tips are greatly appreciated!

J- Our fourth son. He shares a birthday with his dad and quite frankly, he IS his dad. I swear, if my husband is dealing with an emotion, J is too. I just don't get it. ;)

D- our little surprise. I was told that after using four rounds of fertility drugs with J, having another child would not happen on its own. Low and behold, J was 5 months old and I was knocked up. D decided to make his appearance a month early and J wasn't even walking yet. I really don't know how mothers of twins do it. Props to you, mamas of twins.

Our household doesn't stop there! We have a labradoodle who is female, a bird who is male, and a fish who is male. Who do I think I'm kidding!? I was just meant to be in a house full of boys.
